Low Bandwidth
Anyway, the kind Kindle Publishing folks at Amazon finally got me and my book straightened out, and the pictures are restored. If you purchased the book and couldn't see the pictures, you can re-download it for free. If you haven't purchased it...well, you were smart to wait! Now would be the perfect time to do so! Check it out at Amazon.com!

Three Years!!

I've been busy...
Even so, I've found time to finish (some might say, 'stop obsessing over') my little e-book about the trail. I am proud to announce that Walking Home to Maine; My Appalachian Trail Journey is now available on Amazon for download to your favorite tablet or mobile device for your reading pleasure. It's just in time for Christmas, too, in case you need an extra e-stocking-stuffer for that special someone.
Unfortunately, it's not available in hardcover yet, maybe it will be at a later date, if there's any real interest. So get busy downloading!
Oh, and I should mention that, even though my buddy Josh is listed as the editor, any typos or examples of poor grammar you might find are my fault. Josh did a great job editing my manuscript, and he gave me great advice, but I put it through about six or seven revisions after I let him see it. (See 'obsessing over' above.)
I hope you like it! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

AT vs Airports
Once again, the only time I've spent on the trail so far this year is to do a little trail magic. Pathetic, right? I think it's pretty telling that I've logged more miles on airport jetways than hiking trails lately!
I guess it's a good indicator of how lucky I was to have been able to hike the AT when I did!
I have finished my little hiking memoir, though; I'm planning to self-publish it on Amazon next month, so stay tuned!

New Ink
It's way past time for an update on here. We're in Las Vegas for our nephew's wedding, and his fiancée is a tattoo artist. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo ever since I finished hiking.
And speaking of ink, I've also finished the manuscript about my time on the trail; now I'm trying to figure out how to get it published...

Some Time at the Lake
Okay, so I didn't walk home this summer, I drove. It was great to spend some time with family and friends...and the lobster and clams were pretty good, too!
