A new day that kicked my butt! I crossed the state line yesterday. The crowd we had leaving DWG was all strung out along the trail again so there was no pie-eating or any of that silliness, just hiking.
A lot of the day was spent on the tops of ridges in the hot sun...by the time I was done, my brain was baked and my feet were fried. I did get a wood-fired pizza on the side of the road (!) and a banana split near the end of the day; that helped a lot!
