This Car Climbed Mount Washington!

I really wanted one of those bumper stickers to hang off my backpack! Turns out, they don't sell them in the gift shop at the top, they only give them out when you pay the fee at the Auto Road...you need a car to get a bumper sticker? What's up with that?

I got to the top early Sunday morning and had a beautiful 360 degree panorama with crystal clear blue sky...for about 30 minutes! It was enough, for the place with the worst weather in America...

I lived through the White Mountains and I'm close to the Maine border. It's kind of hard to believe. I should have my new cellphone tomorrow, so I'll be able to post pictures again soon!

Here's a shout-out to the Appalachian Mountain Club: I know the AMC isn't known for having the most lovey-dovey relationship with thru-hikers, especially in the high huts, but they were great to me and my fellow hikers on my trip through the Whites; very thru-hiker friendly. I got free breakfast in one hut, nine of us got work-for-stay at Lakes of the Clouds (the busiest and most popular hut), and I got the member rate at Joe Dodge Lodge, the place where the spring skiers stay to ski Tuckerman's Ravine, just for saying I was a thru-hiker. Thanks, AMC! You and the White Mountains are awesome!
