I have completed my quest

To become a real, no-kidding AT Thru-hiker! Probably not with too many miles to spare, but it doesn't matter. I made it to the top of Katahdin, saw the last white blaze, and, more importantly moving forward, I made it down off the mountain in one piece!

The significance of finishing the hike, especially after the last few weeks here in Maine which were REALLY challenging, hasn't sunk in yet. The last four and a half months have been an incredible experience, and I'm looking forward to finding out what changes that experience might have made in me. In the meantime, just getting the boots off and having a cold beer with old friends is a pretty good feeling.
